This is a shameless plug; as in there's no shame and as in there is nothing I am gaining out of this.

If you haven't heard of permaculture design, google it.
If you've heard about it, do it if you can afford it. Or gift it to the most amazing person sleeping next to you every (most) night(s).

My good friend Marisha Auerbacher is holding a permaculture design course in Redmond in March.
She's an amazing person and a wonderful teacher.

I hope this post isn't completely inappropriate - I myself consider the bicycle and its community essential in a permacultural sense.
Let me know if you need more info and please forgive my taking up the space here.
