Bicycles and tomfoolery and alcohol should probably end up in the same place at the same time for this me thinks. Not to overplan, but the ousting of dickwad and the installment of our savior jesus christ as the leader of America should warrant commemoration. And at least one fire. Possibly a bar fight. Some miles. And booze.
Oh - it is on a Tuesday. Like I need to make an excuse.
Maybe since there is always an Inauguration Ball after the ceremony we should make this ride a formal? Could pull out a bunch of 80s prom dresses and tuxedos.
Just a thought
(yes I am fully aware I am probably the only one into this idea)
Trust me I am not thrilled I am missing a chance to put on a pretty dress with bike shoes.

So, are we doing cycling formal or not?

I've come up with Seattle connections for every president. Some are rather crappy and lame, much like Bush/Cheney, but I'm ready to make a route out of them.
Anyway, I'm thinking of a Washington, Madison, Garfield, Jefferson, Jackson, Obama, Adams, Lincoln, Roosevelt route (end at a bar). I can also throw in a mid-route stop at a bar named for one of our lesser leaders (Hoover or Bush).

Your call, but I'm just coming as-is and riding bikes.

I'm thinking, crash some innagural bar parties. But whatever.

Funny how no one who talked about this ride actually showed up.
The ride started out slow, and we lost a couple people on GS Barnes' Capitol Hill Climb of Doom. Then we got to Cal-Anderson park and biked around until we found a parade. We picked-up a random capitol hill bike chick named Lindsey, who took us home to the patio of her apartment where we barbequed hot dogs and got drunk. White Scott wore my red petticoat. It was ever so fetching on him. We are working on convincing Lindsey to ride bikes with us some evening...
I had two shots of vodka to salute our new Socialist Overlord. Biking home while slightly drunk was entirely too much fun. This sets a bad precedence for my habit of not drinking... but this was an extra-special occasion.
There was talk of Scott and Kav hitting The War Room, but I skipped-out before that happened.

Yeh, just wasn't feeling it. Went to prefunk, sat and pondered my ponderables, and then meandered back up the hill. Some days are like that.
