if it happens again, i suggest not going if you dont know how to use a tent, a sleeping pad, boots, or an open flame. we almost darwinated some people last year.
practice on summer camping, people.

But that was all the Fault of Cass Outfitting, Inc. They're the ones who sent folks out with the wrong equipment!

She did however, buy me a brand new BETTER sleeping bag.

Also don't overprime a multifuel stove unless you want to declare jihad against your eyebrows and eyelashes.
I suggest snowshoes, gators, waterproof hiking boots (at least), ski/snowboard pants, a decent multiday pack, and some sort of mountaineering grade parka. I would have been very cold and unhappy last year without my rented Feathered Friends parka despite having PNW ski gear. A really good sleeping bag keeps you happy when you're drunk and in bed; mine was also rented from Feathered Friends.
This was the highlight last year.

I'll keep an eye on this, I want to try winter camping but no one else I know is into it.
I've got extra sleeping pads and two set of snow shoes, minus bindings. Maybe we could fab something up.
Anyone interested in checking the dumpsters for winter gear? I've found MSR snoe shoes and treking poles in the past.
I've got 4WD, could seat up to 4 if you're not partial to seat belts.

I would not be opposed to climbing Asgaard Pass in snow again- just so I can learn more about Sketchy's 3am-55mph-wind-boner! And, as usual, the more snow, the more fun to glacade down. Especially when it involves a few thousand feet in .8 miles.
PS. Denny, are you out there? I want to ice climb!
