So here I am working late again
and I remembered how Monday night is 2for1 burger night at the best fucking burger joint in town.
http://seattle.citysearch.com/review/34927704
Seriously, they have this burger called the "Heart Attack":
1/2lb beef, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg (Calling Derrick!)
and another called the "Pipers Creek Burger":
1/2 lb beef, roasted onions and red and green peppers, whole roasted garlic cloves, mushrooms, provolone
Their burgers come with hand cut fries, big ol steak fries fried twice so they're extra brown and crispy.
Plus there's not a more compact selection of top notch beers to be had in town.
AND MONDAY NIGHTS THE BURGERS ARE TWO FOR ONE!
I used to go there regularly with a buddy and each eat two burgers w/ fries.
After dude moved away and I went veggie for a while I fell outta the habit. But goddamn I miss it!
So here's an idea.
Who wants to go on a bit of a ride a week from today, the 19th, then eat some beautiful burgers? I figure we could meet a lil later than regular .83 time (cause my mondays are busy)
say meet up 7:30 at Volunteer Park at the patio btw the resevoir and the museum (for the hill climbing) - leave nlt 8pm
ride around a bit, maybe just to make sure we're good and hungry, then finish up at pipers and drink mighty beer and eat mighty burgers. Two of them, for the price of one!
This is a much better idea than the inauguration ball ride. Count me in for double the hill interval penance! Woo hoo!
Also, by 8PM, after a ride up the hill, I'd be plenty hungry enough to go straight there. (Especially since this place is out by Carkeek park and the Northgate Mall).

I am in. If I can get my homework done on Sunday night.

Why do you hate me matthew?
You don't have to do one or the other. This isn't Sophie's choice.
This isn't Sophie's choice, more like Hobson's Choice. Good luck finding that literary reference.
EDIT: oops, wikipedia makes it easy for you. Sort of. It doesn't cover the piece which I remembered. Sorry about the long URL- thank Google Book's hash function

if she's running windows, that's a pretty good sign you should run.

I think what really matters is how drunk you can get and still bike home safe.

Oh Lee, you're not fooling anyone. You have a SOUL and we all know it. Even if we do live in Seattle.

So it's Saturday and I need to get off the flippin computer so I can go enjoy this rediculous weather.
IN the meantime
When I started this post, I didn't realize that Monday was a day off for most people.
Who wants to extend this into a hill climbin ass stomper?! Figure we could start earlier and climb some of the more brutal hills in town to make sure we'd be hungry enough to really deserve those burgers Mon night. FTH interval training, ya?
oh, and here's a video of a pomegranite being shot in super de dooper slow mo

BURGER RUN IS STILL ON
Meet at Volunteer Park at the patio btw the Reservoir and the Asian Art Museum @5, leave @ 5:30. Standard pointy3 meetup protocol, ya?
Bringin a really great new girl to .83 today. She's a badass biker (lookup RAMROD) but defs not a squid. Sez she's interested in bike touring/camping...
I'm thinkin at least we should go caphill-beaconhill-georgetown-queenanne-crownhill
If people are feeling ambitious, we can still add west seattle btw georgetown and QA. My legs were sore as fuck yesterday morning and I rode around all day - just can't stay inside with this amazing weather. I'm more sore today. I can take or leave WS depending on the group - maybe we should decide when we're in Georgetown?
Yay fucking burgers!
Who's still in?
Because where better to organize this ride from this thread, then on some other miscellaneous thread.
I propose we meet up at Volunteer park, get burgers, go from there. We have tomorrow to ride too.
Lets fight!
