The machine gun ammo wasn't the only stuff that was kinda scary in there. Someone's Steyr TMP-knockoff submachinegun was in there (I'm pretty sure it's illegal in WA), and a level IIA kevlar vest too.

Who did these guys steal from? The Michigan Militia?

The TMP knockoff is legal in WA provided it doesn't have a fore-grip or a shoulder stock. With those additions it is a short-barreled rifle (under 16 inch barrel) which is illegal without a federal permit. Without those features it is just a bulky pistol and therefore legal.
