Haha. I did the same. There's a nod to the post-aaron era. Byron sounds grumpy and full of angst, I don't think he'd be into a steel cage trampoline battle. This fire needs more fuel.
So, if Point83 can raise enough money for a hooker on a ride, I'm pretty sure we can raise enough to buy a trampoline.
And we all really want to see some steel cage trampoline matches.

But the thing is that the bikehugger folks are actually okay in my book. And as far as I'm concerned, the enemy of your enemy is your friend, right? You and Byron should be joining forces at any moment.
Also, what I said earlier about how goofy those guys looked in shoulder pads and hockey helmets... put this on the record: I take it back. Those guys were onto something. If we have bicycle trampoline events, we NEED the extra protection. While we're at it, let's get those lumbar supports and neck braces like the BMX stunt dudes rock (run?). Those things could save a life.

I don't see many messengers riding around on touring bikes. I think we can move beyond that stereotype. If anything, call us Riv's Kids. (for Rivendell, 'cause many of us ride retrogrouch bikes and like wool)

the professor has one or two. let's also realize that many of the surly frames are really for those who wish they were riding a rivendell but who do not wish to spend the bucks to get one, or who are not willing to ride around in woolly socks and sandals, or who think that grant peterson is a little too precious and his prose is abominable. I write for BikeHugger, but I'm NOT BikeHugger. I certainly have never called out pointy-three over there. In fact I think I first got Byron to pony up and sponsor the first calendar.
I still want a piece of Matthew in the Steel Cage Match though, just for fun and because I like tramp(oline)s.
