In the beginning, there was the Waffle-ride (With planning)

Then, The second Annual point83 waffle ride

And most recently, The Ore-Ida brand hashbrowns third annual waffle ride

Now... Prepare your self for....
Waffle Ride IV: The Waffocalypse
Thursday, February 5. Westlake square. 7:15.

I will be providing:
waffle irons, electric infrastructure, and some ingredients.
I need others to bring:
Waffle toppings, more waffle batter, and beverages.

Zoobombers and dead babies will be joining us.

It's gunna be freezing. For fuck's sake, dress warm.

Hell yes.

I missed this last year. I don't intend on making that mistake again.

Does 4 month old ice cream count as a waffle topping?

I had a dream last night. In this dream I was visited by a strange apparition that bore remarkable resemblance to a W. Seattle bike shop owner. The ghost came up to me and said,

"HAY GUYS I HAVE LIKE 200 WAFFLE RECIPES! I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO MAKE BUT WE SHOULD GET INGREDIENTS FROM A DWARF FARM COLLECTIVE MY FRIEND IS IN IN CANADA! THEY HAVE FREE HEALTH CARE THERE AND THEY RIDE BIKES!"

The dream ended there because the ground was shaking. But I woke up resolved to bring the equipment and provisions for Turkish coffee to this ride.

Bring cups.

I can probably swing a capitol hill pick up. I might need Aaron to come through and take out some of the bollards on the train if i'm going to drive all the way to the shelter though ...

I appreciate your correct use of elipses, but you obviously still need to run these through the copy desk prior to publishing them.

I hear their team kit is awesome. And the team issue bike is ridiculous. Should be a pretty sweet sponsorship deal.

One of the chiefs at work has one of those. He scoots around the office building and does wheelies and stoppies to show off. If I ever bust an ACL, I am so getting one and rolling up to Westlake Center with it.

Sadly, I will not be at wafflepocalypse because I'll be in DC for my exit interview! It's the moment I've been waiting for nine years. So someone take pics of laura drooling syrup, okay?

I can get over to your place of departure, especially since I have the day off.

Hmm, this thread needs more planning or excitement or something. We are not even on 2 pages yet. Maybe I'll just rehash some asshatery from last year.

Oh and I'll bring candied pecans, wipped cream, paper towels and maybe hot drink fixins. Does any one like hot apple cider?

There has been a certain amount of cross promotion. This wiill be a waffle ride among waffle rides.

What are each of you bringing?? Post!

We need more batter-suppliers! If somebody is equipped to transport wet, ready-to-use batter ,that would be Epic

I should be able to do such a thing. The real question is whether to use the 3 gallon bucket, or the 5 gallon bucket.

Anybody have any good recipes? Preferably ones that involve malt, without a lot of tedious fiddling with egg whites [1]. I love me some malted waffles.

[1] Because I don't love you all that much.

I'll be bringing yeast-risen waffle batter, potentially sourdough. It'll be mostly ready when we arrive, needing only to mix a couple separated packages.

Also, a lamp so we can see what we're making.
