58% Hahaha!!!! Good for anyone that likes democracy... isn't this when you American folks start talking impeachment?

In Canada we would have clubbed him already.

Don't you know that we Americans love disappointment?

We also enjoy watching our elected officials make a mockery of themselves trying to improve their public image.

Americans only impeach presidents when they were stuipid enough to get caught doing something everyone else gets away with. We aren't punishing the conduct, just the planning.

I'm just glad to see that almost everyone had an opinion. I expected 20 percent to vote for "how dare you poll me while Dancing with the Stars is on?!?"

They didn't call me...

No, wait, they never call me. Probably just as well, because I don't think "Fucked up like ass cancer" is one of the options.

Have any of your peers ever been on a jury? Mine haven't.

I've never been polled. But maybe that's because I only have a cellphone?

Let's see. Been a registered voter for 19 years. Exempt from jury duty for 5 years while I was on active duty. I've never been called for jury duty. Don't think any of my friends are either. They think we are a bunch of rogues and scoundrels.

I supposed if I wanted to do a more rational analysis, I could figure out the probabilities. I imagine it wouldn't be that high. If they called 100 people a day, every single day for a year out of an eligible population of 4 million people, you have a 0.9% chance of getting called up.

If I ever get called, I'm gonna let beer farts during court and watch everyone try to ignore how badly it stinks.

I have been registered to vote for 21 years and have been called to jury duty twice. Both times I could not afford to go. Once when I was making $4.50 per hour and could barely make the rent and a second time when I had just started my shop and was the only employee. Going to be on a jury would have meant closing. Oh, and the incentive to get you to go is $10 per day.

Hey on a positive note, I am sure seeing a lot more people on bikes lately. Perhaps it is the mild fall and high gas prices. Whatever it is sure nice to see.

Dude, I'm 24 and I've been called for jury duty twice! Both times I was out of state though, so I didn't have to go.

I got called once some years ago but Like Aaron I couldn't afford the time off. I did sit on a mock jury for $75 and two meals tho. Screw that $10 a day + bus pass.

It is our civic duty, but it bothers me that people's time is not seen as valuable when they get called for a jury. I mean, we still have to pay the bills. And then don't even get me started on how much we are spending on the war on terrorism around the globe. Fix levies and pay people for jury duty.

My former employee Mikey got called but only had to go for 2 days last spring. It threw a wrench into the works at the bike shop. I paid him for his time missed from the shop. His normal wage. Employers should not have to but it is nice when the do. My boss my first jury duty call did not offer.

i was just wondering because none of the people i see downtown wearing juror badges look like my peers. i guess it is because my peers can't afford to go.

I've been called for duty twice also dean. I got paid for it both times for eight hours each day. I remained a hung jury one extra day because I wanted the whole week off from work... Ya it was tight.
