As a relatively new member to this travesty, I realize and appreciate previous motions to this end have gone on years before my appearance and will likely (after I'm dead) continue on for years afterwards. That said, times change, bikes are born and destroyed in the crucible of our debauchery, and it's in this cyclists humble opinion that some of our definitions are worthy of review on occasion. The Long Haul Trucker Mother Fucker definition being one of them. With Langston, Ethan, Peter, and Zanimal now on the NMMF list, the list of probees outcount the actual members.
I humbly propose the following amendments.
Ammendment 1: That green and red be deemed acceptable colors (Peter's is Red now btw, unless the TOS refers to a different Peter).
Ammendment 2: That 26 inch wheels be recognized as being not only acceptable size, but totally fucking awesome. Some of us are short. Get over it.
Ammendment 3: That fenders and fender flaps be mandatory.
Ammendment 4: That front mini-rack and basket be amended to read only front rack and basket. There are many excellent racks out there. Some of them we're building ourselves now.
Ammendment 5: Screw the tire definition. I roll Schwalbe Marathons and they're rad - I'll take the Pepsi Challenge against the Panaracer Pasela any day of the week, and I think those like Peter will agree with me.
Ammendment 6: Should have a demonstrated ability and willingness to carry a full case of beer and/or a pile of wood with little or no reconfiguration beyond a bungee cord or two.
I realize the present state of the Bicycle Eater sporting H-bars or Randoneering bars probably keep me in the LHTNMMF category, for which I'm fine - I'm a non-mutual motherfucker if ever there was one. But if Ammendment 7: broadened the bar definition to include moustache bars, mary bars, randoneering and j/h-bars, well I wouldn't be opposed to it.

And while I've never had a turtle cheeseburger ... I have had scrambled turtle eggs once, when I was a kid. (True story.) I seem to recall them being very tasty.
