crunchy freewheel.

heeeyyy, freewheel servicing work party? I really want to do this, but I've never done this before. I'm good for whenever if this happens. wait, can that shit even be cleaned out by doing that?

Heh, I bet most of us have never done this, because it is usually pointless. My Trek Has a 6sp Maillard Helicomatic hub/freewheel however, so I can't buy a new one. A majority would probably tell me to just get a new wheel built..but I am a bit of a retrogrouch/stock-o-phile... so a freewheel rebuild party actually sounds reasonable to me.

Milx: nice! will get back to your email soon. So it sounds like it's you, langston and myself.. with Andrew_c being in the "maybe" camp as well, I think. Would be cool to have one or two more (I was thinking 5 or 6 would be ideal for this) but whatever, this'll be fun times for sure.

OK, just checking in. I think Jim (Beau's roomate) told me he might be into it as well. Jim? Are you on pontythree?

Looks like a good time guys.

Langston knows better than to go anywhere without a spare derailleur in his pocket. He's always fucking his up.

you'd think I'd know by now to only shift one set of gears at a time. Shifting front & back simultaneously = chain suck & derailleur detonation
