Travel light, as long as you have pockets.

I was thinking about not going, but instead I'm bringing an extra layer or three and whiskey.
Damn it's wet out there.

From the Taco Truck Time Trial last year. It rains here. We ride bikes. We will all manage.

My toes are already numb from a quick trip to the store. This is going to be great!

Max was the last through my stop (#6) and was having serious tire issues. In the end, the bike wasn't up for riding so he took off by foot determined to make it to the streetcar shelter and then up to the Alehouse. You guys be on the look out!

Just in case anyone was wondering, this was my recommended route up and down Queen Anne. Take the sidewalk on Howe between 9th and 10th to completely avoid cobblestones.
The rest of the route is pretty much as Gmaps automatically plots it.
Thanks, Dave.
Oh, and, my wife took the bag. She says her laptop bag is about to die.

This was an amazing day. Really. I cannot express in words the quality of it. It was fun, but still tough, pleasant, yet mildly uncomfortable... wet, yet containing a conference bike...

the family enjoyed seeing everyone that i spend my thursday nights with.
i have to tell you though, it was weird hanging out during the day, sober. sorta like coming out of the club and the sun's up.
great time dave, i really enjoyed walking up queen anne ave and dravus.

Thank you Dave and all the people who kept feeding me whiskey/fries/vodka along the route. Favorite fries: Dick's.

I am finally getting around to my backlog of photos. Apologies to Professor Dave for the broken promise on this one, but here's the set.
I had forgotten how cold and miserable the weather was that day.

the weather has been so great I forgot what it's like to ride in the cold and wet. then looking at those photos it all came back to me. :( At least we have 2 more months of "summer" in Seattle!
