Definitely lookin to do some skiing this weekend; would kinda prefer Saturday, if anyone wanted to go then, but whatever, Sunday works too. Let's go to Crystal!

What he said.
If I get a paycheck before then. Sunday's out.
Alpental was pretty kickass today. I think that Crystal may have had more of that storm than Stevens did, and it's staying cold tomorrow so there might be some stashes left.

Not sure I wanna go with 90% chance of precip and snow level of 6000 ft .. could mean rain on the bottom 1/2 of the mountain. MAAN this winter has sucked for snow ... or weekends at least. Hmm I might be up for taking a day off work some time, if we got some good mid-week dumps of new snow.

this is why i usually never check the weather report before going up. ok, looks like we'll keep an eye on this rain situation and ill make some calls in a few hours here.

She hasn't posted that she's out three times or more yet, so I'm assuming she's still in.

looking a lot better for this weekend!!! if nothing else, lower temps. who wants to go?
as before, Saturday is looking better for me, but either day fine. and actually, Sunday is looking like having a better chance for deep freshies... more snow forecasted for Sat. night than Friday night.

I'm not missing sprints. I'm down for next weekend, though.

¿Qué?
ride a bike indoors vs. carving turns on the first fresh snow (first fresh weekend snow) in ages ... seems like a no-brainer to me. :P
course that's coming from someone who almost never does any type of indoor bike riding ... the only time I'll use 'em at the gym is if all the other cardio machines are taken.

I'd like to go, but I've joined the rolling (I hope, going to try riding today) cripple club and snowboarding seems like a bad idea right now.

Alex, I'm sorry you hurt yerself... but that'll teach you to play a "sport" as dumb as curling! :)
Anyway, I'm going up to Crystal tomorrow with a couple peeps... have one spot left in the car, if anyone changes their mind. Leaving from West Seattle at 6 am.
From NOAA:
Tonight: Snow showers, mainly before 10pm. Low around 14. West northwest wind between 16 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 22. West wind between 9 and 13 mph. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

I'm going to be at Alpental tomorrow. If anyone wants to meet up, this is what I'll be wearing.
Daddy Bear
Isn't alpental all green and blue?
After meeting that guy, I suspect it's more black and blue.
The groomers were epic. None of them had too much pitch, so I could go nice and slowly and work on my turns. No new snow fell. I kept my skis on the ground the whole time. The worst part was that wearing a helmet gave me bad hair.

I would just like to point out the fallacy of this argument.

Word. Snow waits for no woman or man, unlike roller races which can be rescheduled or will be repeated.
I went with AndrewW to Alpental yesterday. Ungodly cow in a blender, it was amazing. Fresh light powder, sunbreaks, newly falling snow, gorgeous views, not too cold, half a pizza. My first day of the season, so my legs are pulp this morning.
Yes, Andrew is all about the blacks and double blacks. We spent the whole day on Chair 2, he was doing International and the stuff under the chair, I mostly stuck to the stuff on the far side of Edelweiss Bowl you traverse out to.
