I have no idea who's organizing it, but a friend emailed this to me:
Quote:

Come and bring all your friends to Seattle's biggest game of Capture the Flag EVER! The game will be on Capitol Hill in Seattle Saturday, March 14. Costumes highly encouraged!

Please meet at 9pm SHARP, by the fountain in Cal Anderson Park (map below), Saturday, March 14. The course will be from 12th Ave E to Belmont Ave E. Union to Olive. Neutral ground is Broadway.

Course:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&lr=lang_en%7Clang_es&hl=en&msa=0&ll=47.615595,-122.321606&spn=0.006379,0.018861&z=16&msid=113540950281131820292.000464a37e20620a58ef5

Rules

1. No one may tag or be tagged in the neutral ground
2. If you are tagged in your opponent’s territory, they must escort you to jail
3. Guards must stay 5 feet away from jail and the flag
4. Flags must be visible from three angles and easily reachable by the shortest person
5. Flags must be placed/hidden/etc. in the territory; they can’t be hidden on any person
6. If a person has been found, and is being brought back to your territory, and you are tagged, the flag must stay where you are tagged.
7. All transportation mechanisms except personal motorized vehicles are allowed.
8. Cell phone use is encouraged
9. To be freed from jail; a member of your team must directly tag you. You will have 15 seconds of freedom before either of you can be tagged again (count aloud)
10. An individual may only free one person from jail at a time
11. STAY in-bounds! If you are caught out-of-bounds, go to jail. You suck.
12. Arm bands must be visible at ALL TIMES.
15. Only jail guards can call jail breaks… ONLY to keep the game moving
16. Costumes are highly encouraged
17. Be responsible and respectful. Play at your own risk.

I'm in... unless I'm not around, in which case I'm out.

I'm going to do the opposite of whatever Scott decides not to do. Probably.

Capture the flag is for kids. Why not just play tag, Pirate Ship on the playground Big Toy and who can eat the most boogers?

Bicycles, thats a wholesome legitimate adult recreation.

Because we're getting drunk, messing around, and being safe as our primary activities, not to exclude playing tag, Pirate Ship on the playground Big Toy, or who can eat the most of Prof Dave's cookies.

I'd rather eat Prof Dave's spacemen cookies than boogers. Oh, Roger, Patrick Lamphere says hi. Roger... I should have known you'd have to "pass" at work.

Rogelio is amongst the friendlies, but Roger gets me through meetings and teleconferences.

Back to my lunch which was so rudely interrupted by a vendor, a vendor calling me Rogelio.

Basically: I'm either when it's convenient, Chris.

yeah, sorry about that. Madden and a safety-first ethos had me asleep on the couch by 10pm.

I feel ya. I'm Christopher as far as Qwest cares. Patrick mentioned that he knew you too, but it took a second to connect the r to the elio.

There should be a prefunk to this. 8ish?

I suggest the Cantebury, but only because I know they let dogs in. Also, they have well drinks and respectable nachos.

It's raining.
I'm still tired from yesterday and getting up early this morning.
No else I've talked to is enthusiastic about capture the flag in the rain.

If someone out there is totally gung-ho for this, I could rally and flag it up. Otherwise, I'm gonna stay home, make soup, and watch movies.
