Hey W. Seattle folks, (Joby?)

Can you recommend a route from here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=2458+SW+Kenyon+St,+Seattle+WA&sll=47.620973,-122.347276&sspn=0.416539,0.878906&ie=UTF8&ll=47.533893,-122.345552&spn=0.026077,0.054932&z=14
To just across the Duwamish on Marginal cross street Ellis.
I remember a ride with Joby where we rode through the industrial area near the haz-mat place then drank Kirkland Vodka on the east side of the Duwamish. I thought there was some pedestrian bridge, but can’t find that on the trails maps. Something with out a too much traffic. Something that is OK for pedestrians is nice too.

Ditto, but I wouldn't look forward to coming home that way often.

Are there trails in the big wooded area?
Are there coyotes or rapist hiding in there?

Man you just missed joe dirt last thursday where we dabbled in this area. There are a couple of old road grades in the woods north of highland park dr. Like this one

The topo (USGS) layer on gmaps pedometer can be real handy for old roads not on google's database.

I have explored in there by foot and by hike-a-bike it is mostly foot trails and some encampments, some mud, some solid road grade. It would be awesome to have more bikable trails but that takes, work and tools, and supplies and money, and possibly permission.

If you are going to live in the area I say it is worth poking through and exploring some but if you are looking for a one time detour through some greenspace while getting from A to B I would not bother too much.

Yep. I spent a while trying to find a shortcut from puget ridge through the greenspace. None of them are close to worth it.

you're less than 25 blocks from both Andre and myself. Come over for a beer, if you're moving to the 'hood. Ehtan lives in Pigeon Pointe as well. We're slowly cultivating a WSEA Posse.

Dude, you're forgetting that Justin lives on a boat. That shits gonna be hard to drag up on land.

I'm on land all ready Cass. I'm just on boat stands. Kinda odd feeling when the wind picks up and the boat isn't rocking, like somethings missing.

Alia, is looking at houses in that hood, we're just trying to figure out commute routes. Chris, Andre, you guys like WSEA?

It's alright. It's convinient for working downtown, and quite but feels isolated and "far away" when I want to go out on the weekends.
