Anybody want to lend a hand on the Tour de French Fry next Saturday, 3/28? I can use three people to hand out french fries at three different stops--Queen Ann Dick's, Magnolia Red Mill, and Northlake Ivar's--and another three to be at checkpoints--Marshall Park in Queen Anne, Magnolia Manor Park in Magnolia, and the Denny Blaine streetcar shelter in Madrona.

Race starts at 3:27; depending on the place you're at, you'd be stuck there for an hour and change starting from around 3:45 to around 4:15, I'd guess. Everyone, in any case, should be able to be done no later than around 6:00 and in plenty of time for helping with the keg of Mighty Arrow at the Alehouse.

Helpers receive my undying gratitude in addition to some booze and/or safety materials should they so desire.

email me: dashap327@mac.com if you're feeling helpful.

Thanks!

I'll work the Madrona streetcar stop for you, dave. Send me the electronic mails.

Just got back from the doctor's. I'm allowed to race, but only at "a 50% effort", so what's the point in that? I mean, fifty percent of what? Fifty percent heartrate? Fifty percent of the time I floor it? One hundred proof in my waterbottles?

Professor, I've got dibs on the Ivar's checkpoint. I've got to stop by Recycled Cycles anyways, so I'll do that before the race.

Out of shape Mexican semi-cripple calls dibs on one of the Queen Anne locales.

I can help, too! I'm just getting over a 3-week cold, and am in no shape to race.

An overview:

QA Dick's = Kevin
QA Marshall Park = Crippled Mexican
Northlake Ivar's = Matthew
Denny Blaine Madrona stop = Mike

Magnolia Red Mill = Slyvie or me
Manor Park Magnolia = Slyvie or me

Slyvie, claim your choice. I got the other one.

I'll go to the Magnolia Red Mill then. Do I need anything before I get there? I'll be at Critical Mass today, so I can pick up any supplies today.

Sweet Bike Scott has the Red Mill Magnolia already. And cash to buy fries. Arm wrestle with him or maybe Laura and Sylvie can do the Magnolia Manor together and make it HAWT!
