Can Andre lead the ride south three weeks in a row? The highest point in Seattle is in West Seattle.

If you do go to the highest point in Seattle (I live two blocks from water towers), don't come by my shop unless you bring beer.

Didn't The County Line make it in that list a few years back?

The County Line deserves a spot but is no longer and option. I'm surprised the Tug Inn wasn't there. The collective ride has been to Angie's in Columbia City. The TURF has been a prefunc suggestion but is often packed.

I have a wine tasting at work this evening, free all you can taste wine! I'm considering leaving my new assistant to fend for himself so I can (gasp) go out and ride my fucking bike. 2+ months of working 7 days a week is getting pretty fucking old.

Seconded. Any major holidays coming up that we could use as an excuse for that route?

Prefunc must be:

a) Near the amtrak station
b) usable by a lame-o that forgot their ID

.83 bar-choosing experts... GO!

Hmmm, well if it's the current seattle weekly we should maybe wait a bit until the hipster tide ebbs, no?

If anybody wants to venture further north the Echo Lake Tavern is the only place I've ever had a dude threaten to kick my ass then promise me a Citizen Dick tshirt ten minutes later. I dunno if they still have $3 pitchers of Busch.

I never did get my t-shirt.

I don't know about b) but this meets a) and c) it has a good name.

Isn't that a gay meat market with pull tabs? I bet they have pickled eggs.

We've done prefunks there before. It's not exactly a meat market, Unless it's old homeless meat market, though technically it IS the oldest gay bar on the west coast.

Problem with Joes is that we sometimes talk big about prefunk and then only one or two people show up. I wouldn't mind decending on that place enmasse, but I'm not going in there alone and waiting for other bike jerks to maybe or maybe not show up. Frankly it's a little uncomfortable.

And yeah - hella pulltabs.

wah wah, man up scott. nobody's gonna go groping your delicate, pasty ass.

i went and had a very pleasant meal and a couple stiff drinks at the turf by myself when nobody else showed up for the prefunk there. it was fine!

Right because suggesting we go to a gay bar is how I intend to protect my delicate white ass.

My first .83 prefunk was there and Henry told me I had to pull out my balls and put them on the table. True story, I'll never stop telling it.

The Dome Stadium Tavern is also close to Amtrak, 4th & Main.

One time when Critical Mass rode by Joe's there was a knife fight. I don't recall anyone checking ID when I went there. To use the bathroom the bartender has to buzz you in (after a drink pucrhase, of course).

Club Contour didn't card me a few weeks back and had nice happy hour prices, but it was kind of crowded. Of course not that many bars do seem to card me anymore. All of the grocery stores do.

The Five Point carded my mom about six months ago and refused to let her in because she didn't have ID. The Monkey Pub still cards pretty heavily. The Nitelite has carded me a couple times in the last few months. It's still out there and happening.

And I still hate all of you for prefunking at the Contour.
