Nice, this is on a Saturday... I only work until noon on Saturdays. I'll keep working out my left leg and hopefully make it out to this.

You could always have a camping party in your backyard: giant fire, bikes, tents, alcohol, guns, and proximity to all your personal belongings.

The Resurrection II race is this weekend. It's going to be a real kick in the pants. A few updates for those that are going to be racing
-The Seagull Bags are in, and will be going to first place mens and first place womens. Check the pic of the bags. They are super solid, and as always, Seagull delivered with their custom work! Big thanks to Dan, Maika, Adam, Kelly, and John!
-Both bags are Oversized large, with a left strap, and Seagull's AWESOME slim buckle. Definitely one of the better buckle systems out there when it comes to security and ease of tightening. The graphics are top notch.
-King Cog, who is also a sponsor of the RESURRECTION II, will be giving free shipping to all orders to Seattle for April and May. This sweet deal goes out to those that race, in addition to the wares that will be on the prize table.
These things should go without saying, but here they are, so there isn't any confusion:
-In order for your manifest to be signed, you must complete the activity at each stop. The stop attendant will be the one to asses whether or not you did in fact complete the activity, at which time they will make their mark on your manifest, getting you one step closer to a new bag.
-A bag and a pen are a good idea, along with the norm of a lock, so the Easter bunny doesn't jack your ride.
-A pump is also a VERY good idea.
-You have not completed the race until your manifest with your name and number on it are in the finish attendant's hand. No exceptions.

I was too tired and dehydrated to even think of doing that yesterday, but had a blast anyway. Chase Justin Peter and I picked up some dude name Brandon and made a pretty good run of it.
GSBarns, Robin and DJ Stroky for the 9th, 5th, and 3rd places!
Lots of crosses to burn afterwards kept me n Monie's feeble old bones warm.
And Ryan/Twowheelwiz, you will be fwding us a link to all those pics, right?

Thanks for a fun time, Ryan.
Random things I discovered yesterday (not really race-related).
Elliott Ave W/15th Ave W northbound is an awesome route on the weekends. There's a bus/bikes only lane, and there are no buses. Minimal traffic lights, too. The Ballard Bridge still sucks balls, though.
No longer has a horrible drop that you wouldn't want to take in the dark, but does have railroad ties every 30 feet or so that makes it largely unbikeable. I did see a connecting trail from the west shortly after crossing under Woodbine; if that leads up to the street, it would cut out most of the railroad ties. Then you'd just be left with a steep slope near the end with a couple of cuts due to running water and a final bollard. Check it out, Lee.
Peter says he found a staircase near Norcross Way (just to the east) that could work as well.
