there are holes in a growing number of my pants. good patches may do the trick for another couple years. if I just looked around the house a little longer, I may find some, but I'll go for a dumpster quest anytime.

I assume you'd be going to Filson's, right? The only other fabric dumpster I know of is MSR, and last time I was there they only had foam and water proof stuff that it would be hard (though amusing) to imagine you wanting to patch clothes with.

Have a bunch of the tan filson cotton I dove from the dumpster last week. Tougher than carhart and holding too much space in my garage... one foot equilateral triangles. Im new and am hoping to ride with ya'll folks tomorrow, let me know and Ill bring some!
