A little early, but anyone up for karaoke up north? Here
I'm meeting some folks there around nine. Looks like our kinda place. Dive bar with stiff drinks, bad service and greasy food. Lots of 5 and 1 stars on yelp. Perfecto
Then maybe Carkeek?

don't let the threat of rain get you down. the hourly forecast puts the probability of precipitation at 40% after 7pm. it could be quite nice out!

Last time I was at a Karaoke bar a woman started singing in a sailor costume, then ripped that off and had mini-sailor outfit on, then she changed behind an American flag into a sequined bikini. All in one act!

lots. we love it there. involves stopping at qfc and getting firewood first then going down the trail behind the grocery store.
usually ends up with people physically being carried a mile up the hill to waiting cars.

a writer from competitor magazine will be joining us, doing a piece on bike clubs and advocacy this and thats relating to bike clubs.
Quote:
just signed up to the forum because I'm working on a story for Competitor Magazine about “alternative” competition scenes, and I’d like to include a profile of.83 in the story. Last Saturday I dropped by for.83's midnight race at Greenlake, and I'm interested in hearing more about other activities that your club is involved with.
i told her to come out tonight, and bring a working liver.

My first thursday ride I met everyone at Carkeek park. I fell over on my bike trying to get out of a parking lot. People shouted "are you ok?" I replied back "Yeah I hit a rock". There were no rocks within miles. I then later fell again trying to get onto the sidewalk up the hill. Too bad its still another two months till my anniversary.

BRING LIGHTS THAT ALLOW YOU TO SEE/ILLUMINATE THE TRAIL! On some trip to carkeek we stopped at qfc (lucia & i bought ponies for our bikes for messquerade festivites) and then proceeded to the park via that damn trail. It's super dark and you will not see a thing without a good light. So, bring one or ride the ass of someone with a decent one.

Carkeek is really fun to go Jedi and ride the trails in the dark. It is even more fun to commando when you try to go jedi.

My experience has been that if I tell people there will be dirt and to bring a light they freak out.

And looking forward to riding trails in Carkeek. There is lots of good stuff there, not just the QFC trail.

Yo, bring a 20 spot for Ben Country. I'll be out to collect. Don't give it to Ben, he'll likely put it with his keys.

I went there on my mountain bike, and couldn't ride the trail. Maybe because I know nothing about mountain biking. But then I tried to look for a trail out the top and ended up about 50 feet below someone's backyard. Just FAIL all over.
