Although would god smite me for not attending the sabbath ride?
yes.
Maybe I should start another ride today called the Hail Jesus Ride. We'll hit as many church services as we can.
How's about we start an all-easter-service ride where we dress up in pastel dress slacks and golf shirts and get communion at every church we can find. Maybe bring in our own chalices and dumpster bread and see if we can steal folks outta the main communion service by offering them a lil' more of the body and the blood. Professor Dave could bring cookies for the lobby coffee-hour after service.
Are there any churches where they dance with snakes around here? I'd love to show up to one of those.

Today was a good ride. Couldn't have asked for better weather, or frankly better company. Our route took us over the ferry to Bainbridge Island, to Alastair's folks house to meet his dad (Robin) and take a breather, and then over to the Kingston Ferry and back on this side of the water to Edmonds and back south to grub at the Park(?) Pub. I don't think we set any records in terms of distance, around 35-40 miles I guess, but there were a couple banner hills to climb and at the end of the day we were happy and tired satisfied.
Thanks for a nice ride gang. Looking forward to next Sunday.
Don't forget about helping two stranded little girls fix their bike and then them riding with us for a bit.
Good times. Gorgeous route.

Indeed. Today was just about perfect. This was exactly what I wanted Bike Sabbath to be. A little sweat, a little relaxation, and a whole lot of awesome. Helping the wee one fix her bike was just bonus.

Yes. I really wish you could have come with us. Will they let you off today since they called you in on a Sunday? We're going to the track today if you would like to join us.

Sunday rides are hard core, in addition to riding there is also wait training.
Fun times, and if 1 o'clock ferrys are par I can totally be down for meeting up at the docks and doing a different route another weekend. So many peninsulas to explore.

it says 50.7 miles, but that includes 13.7 miles of ferry. we didn't actually do 99 the whole way back from edmonds, but the interurban parallels it.

Shit. I'm going to have to miss this too. And I love me some riding on the track. Plus my hi-end Firenza "track bike" still has a cottered triple stuck in it.
