i'm helping to put this on. we're still working out the final details, but pencil it (and the rest of seattle beer week in on your calendar!)
----
Meets at 11 am at Pike Brewery downtown, rolls out around 11:45. We hope to have Charles and Rosanne along for the ride. From Pike we will head to Dexter and Hayes, then to Brouwer's Cafe.
In this ride at times there will be options for those who want it to give themselves a challenge, leaving Brouwer's is the first time for those that want to take on the feats of strength to do so. The options are the Park Pub or the Dray, we will all meet again at Naked City. Then those that want to take on another feat of strength can do so and head to the Fiddler, those that don't will head to the Duck Island. We will all meet again at the Big Time, then those that want to take on the feat of strength will head to Smiths, those that don't will head to Feierabend. We will all end the ride at Elysian Fields, and the 40 beers of Elysian event.

easy route is now posted, as is the spoke card (gotta print and laminate them, gah.) the easy route is a thing for folks who want to take it easy!
meanwhile,
i have a map of the 'feats of strength' route, still trying to decide on some of the 'feats' sections. suffice to say:
a) that i'm not sure if i myself want to ride this monstrosity
b) there's no way i would win any of these challenges
c) i'm not sure if folks are even going to want to do (at least) one of them
so come out and let's see what you've got. worst-case scenario, it's a bunch of drinking beer all day... punctuated with a minor heart attack or broken leg.

I'm coming out for this, and hoping to get that "occasional fun vacuum" changed back to "ALABAMA."
(I might meet y'all in Greenwood. Have your phones handy.)

Met up late at Brouer's. Up to the Dray. Cut over to Fiddler's in. Bomb down to Husky Stadium for trail ride. Up to Big Time. Down to Montlake. Up to Smith on Cap Hill. Down to Myrtle Edwards. Left. Right. Left. Right. B. A. Select. Start.
Solid event. Brilliant weather. Great to see everyone. Ro, Derrick has your cable, thanks for the loaner.
However... minus 10 points for "Two Pints."

But it's redhook: Good beer is worth the money, redhook usually isn't.
one day some friends and i rode to redhook in woodinville for a nice ride. only it was pouring down rain the whole time. Let's just say that between the beer and the food, the soaking wet bike ride was the best part.
