I owned a white one of these
http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/displaycar.php?stock=2490&location=STL
1973 Olds Ninety Eight. Hood ornament and all. It had some documentation in the glovebox from some brakework done - 6800lbs it said it weighed. I believe it. Apparently it also had the largest production V8 ever made in her. We called her the hoopty. My (then) girlfriend went out for soy milk one day and for $300 bucks she bought it from a guy in the parking lot of Dicks.
We'd repeatedly get random offers on it from people. Three of them were mechanics wanting to use it in the Demolition Derby. True story. Said it would be the annihilator of all others in the ring.

That's where my '72 Impala went to die. 5800lbs of American Steel. A little hint; if you're going to put dual Holly carbs and build out the motor of a big steel pig, upgrade the tranny at the same time or it will catch on fire and die. In the middle of the street. At 5pm on a Friday in rush hour traffic.

Hate the fuel & the carbon footprint, I have no problem going fast and travelling long distances with self determination & comfort.

wait ... my car goes a lot faster than my bike. Just on sunday it went 80, i've never gone more than about 45 on a bike. I'm not sure i follow.
Anyone here want to buy a convertable? It's black, inside and out, and looks oh-so puuuuurdy. I'll provide more info upon request because I don't want Lee making fun of me again.

There's a guy on Bainbridge who owns one of those. Funny I've only seen him pass me once in that thing, but I've seen him broken down at the bottom of a hill three times.

It's shiny red now, but this is at hazard factory.
what this vehicle is usually parked across the street from my house. that it was parked there was one of the many factors that caused me to want to move to that street! I didn't even notice it was gone!

Got a posting? I've got friend who has been primarily a .NET working on the Windows Mobile, but he was the guy we had do all the C/C++ when we had to do anything more low-level than the .NET CF provided.
