Who still gots room? Who isn't accounted for?

Since when do washouts and downed trees stop feet + hands?
By now everything is either melted or very packed snow, quickly melting. All these things can stop a snowmobile/4wheeler, but not anyone willing to bushwhack a tiny bit when needed.
Edit: Derrick and I sez the same thing at the same time

I just talked with the C-line and yes she wants to come. She's still not posting on the forum - something about already finding the internet a big enough distraction/timesuck, and who can argue with that?
Right now she thinks she can get a rack from tehschkott. If not she'll buy one and I'll drop it on her bike real quick.
Anybody got some panniers to borrow the lady?

I have a medium size pair Care-o-line can borrow. Also long as she has backpacking sleeping bag/pad she'll be fine for room.

looks like the shortening of the route turned my andrea friend maybe into a big yes. that means ive got 2 seats taken. 2 other seats are still open, ryan, i can get you and caroline if you need a ride. if someone else is stuck without a ride, i can pack them in the back but it will be tight.

im having an awful hard time trying to find someone to change my rear springs before saturday on my diesel. if i cant get it done by then, ill have to switch my racks and ride the gasser. ahh the joys of owning two cars.

do you have a spring compressor? id be game for doing this together if you want. would save me a few bucks. we can split the cost of renting spring compressors if we have to, ive rented them for a few bucks at shucks years back.

fuck if i remember how to properly change springs, but im sure we can figure it out. i did it once before and dont remember it being too difficult.

You don't need a spring compressor for the rear, just the front. I think that is true for VW's too (but it's been a few years since I looked into it).

I won't have springs for my car for a few weeks, but I'd be up for giving it a try.

C-line and I are wanting to do more riding, less hiking (which we're guessing is code for standing around drinking). Anybody else still interested in doing the whole 30 mile thing?
We can take her car if one or two other people want ins. Just be aware her car is used to transport a lot of dogs so.....

Rad. Well the plan is to stop in Darrington for supplies. It's a good and easy ride in from there - you'll like it. We can drop you off there on the way in. Directions are very simple.

Nevermind -- Christine says she still wants to go, I'll figure it out tonight. Rest for history...

It's quite likely that Christine and I will not be going. She stepped on a piece of glass this morning and it went through her shoe into her foot. Yuck!

I can't find Andre and Lee online, hopefully they have a plan B for getting there if we don't go.

Someday I will visit Suiattle while there is still something of a road...

So this looks easy. If not, at least straightforward.
Turn left out of town on SR-530, I remember the Shell station because I always turned right there to go toward the D'town climbing. Bike 7ish miles, turn right on NF26, and 20 or so miles later, voila you're there.
Anybody else still want to ride bikes?

fuck i've packed too much food and stuff to share:
* lots of coffee and two french presses
* big backpacking stove
* scotch cut oats and apples (hopefully enough, as much as I think my stove can handle) for breakfast
* strawberries for the ice cream
* hummus and toby's and pita

I can't imagine how much stuff Andre is hauling in the trailer. Almost brought mine, but then I'd carry even more shit.

My legs are tired from hauling Monicas and I have bruises from trying to dodge giant logs which were flung at me from above. Good times.

Alex saved everyone from seeing my fuzzy butt for the rest of the day by bring extra pants besides all the extra food he brought. Way to be prepared; thanks.
