Start off with your partner in the shower: it will feel more natural in the bathroom setting and if they feel odd about it, they'll be in the shower anyway so everything rinses right off.

Maybe when we elect the next .83 president we can also appoint a secretary to track dates and keep Big Time meeting minutes.

I think you're kidding a little, but actually wouldn't be opposed to holding that post. I do a fair amount of chronicling anyhow.

I was planning on two days and camping at Chehalis again (pool, shower, uncrowded, playground with some swings to relax in, a little more than halfway done, "ha-ha" view of a correctional facility, etc.) despite the locals that want to demonstrate how awesomely loud their cars are on the adjacent road all night.

Were dates decided for Blake Island? Wanted to go, but 27 is out for me. Next year!

Green Mtn and Suiattle (which someday I'll spell correctly) for sure.

I'm considering stp, but have no camping arrangements and no ticket. No camping arrangements is a bigger problem.

"arrangements?"

Doesn't cost anything to pitch at tent at the chehalis recreation park the showers and access to the pool might have been $3. bike parking guarded by the local police was maybe $5 (i just locked to a fence). all you can eat spaghetti dinner and breakfast were ~$7-8 each.

was it... larry... i saw there last year too?

I am also down for stp but am not sure about logistics, or if my bike is up for it. I will pester others about this in-person.

Yep, camped at Chehalis last year.. the showers were awful, but I am glad they were there. Used the cop bike parking out of pure paranoia, it was in fact $5.

I have to put a vote in for the Centralia stop. The college campus is one big free camp site. And they have all that other shit, plus a beer garden, and the Tour de France on about five flat screens. =WIN!

Hooray for Blake! That's the one free weekend of June that I have.

Also, my dad is coming out to ride the STP with Sean and I and its happening over my burfday! The more friends to ride with, the merrier!

as of right now i think my extra kayak is taken, and we're getting one more rental kayak from rei for her sister.

last i checked the rental prices were not that bad from rei if you're a member (it's been quite some time since i checked though). beg /borrow/steal a kayak people, or rent up.

//EDIT
rei does NOT rent kayaks anymore. im checking prices at a few other places and will repost.

we probably need our own thread for each of these adventures too

If memory serves, kayak rentals overnight were impossible or prohibitively expensive last summer. But then again, I was also excruciatingly poor. That's how I ended up in Justins 9' death trap. I would highly recommend making friends with someone who has kayaks. I'm a member of the University Kayak Club, and close compadres with the president. I will see if he'll look the other way while I take a gigantic double out for the night. If so, I could take one other person, and a station wagon's worth of gear.

RESURRECTION!

Wait, is there really nothing on the weekend of the 1-2? I have an invite to go (non-bike) camping but would blow it off for bikes and the city, do I not have an excuse?

BBQ at my house on Saturday 8/1/2009. Ride your bikes over, maybe we'll migrate to Alki for a fire later in the evening.

Not really. The Bicycle Film Festival is happening in Portland that weekend, and there's a kickball final for those of us who play, but in terms of local bikey stuff it's pretty wide open.

This is not an invitation to create stuff to do on this date because I will be occupied with said kickbally crap and film whatnots and would be very upset if you decided to do something cool that I could not then attend. And I'll fight you.
