South Seatac Park is being threatened by King County Corrections. They want to put a jail there. It's one of two off-road riding spots close to Seattle, so it would be a real bummer to lose it. There's mountain bike racing there every Wednesday during the summer and usually a couple cyclocross races in the Fall. There're also some dirt jumps and stunts if you want to get your full-face on. It's also a great place to go and practice on your mountain bike if you don't want to drive someplace far away.
Come tonight because county and local officials will be there to see what they'd be displacing if they put in the jail. This is an opportunity to show them that we need and use local riding spots.
I'll race with a Point83 spoke card in my wheel if any of you show up and someone gives me one. (I race in the later group.) Also, if any of you have off-road bikes and feel competitive, you should totally race. The first start is pretty chill, the second is fairly serious.

Usually about forty-five minutes for the beginners and a little over an hour for the sport/expert class. The course usually leaves a fair number of cross-country trails and all the flow lines open.
