they just teamed up with http://www.republicbike.com/ to sell through their site.
republic has been around for a little while. if i owned republic id jump at the chance to have that kind of new customer base.
//after looking around online, looks like the steel they are made with is junk. heavy and rusts easy. high tensile steel. probably a good entry level starter bike. prices aren't bad, but not long term high end by any means.

Ain't capitalism grand?
I will gladly exchange all of my hipster cred for the money in your pocket.
Generally, assembly may require attaching pedals, front wheel, handlebars and adjustments. You'll need basic tools to get your bike built.
"May require"? Like hey, customise your bike by not attaching the front wheel! No handlebars! No need to pedal, just schluff around and look hip!
Also, this makes me wonder about two things:
1. How many returns do they get because the poseur buying the bike can't figure out why the left pedal won't go onto the cranks?
2. How many lawsuits do they get into because the wheels' QR skewer isn't properly seated in the dropouts or tensioned?

0. Hipsters don't have lawyers and only an idiot would accept a return from one.
