Central Cinema is having a Crazy About Swayze double feature run from Sept 13th-16th. Pre-show sing-a-long, Dirty Dancing @7pm, Road House @9:30pm. Tickets are $5 there, $6 online, and it's 100% awesomeness.

I am going and rallying people for Monday Sept 14th.

There's beer and food (and flavored popcorn!) there, so it's all taken care of.

SWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

holy crap road house. that is absolutely my bar-none favorite bad movie. it's like if showgirls was about dudes, and being macho! patrick swayze puts his hand through a man's neck and within 30 seconds is laughing and having a good time with his lady friend.

it also has sam elliott, an actor with an uncanny ability to appear in shit like road house and emerge unscathed.

A++++++++++ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, WOULD BUY AGAIN!!!!!!!1

Oh yes, this will be wonderful. Road House on the big screen is always worth the extra effort, no matter how many times it comes on cable.

Got my ticket! Finally, a chance to watch Roadhouse all the way through (no cable at my house), uninterrupted by raucous behavior from the peanut gallery. Oh wait...

Central Cinema 2 for 1 tickets is one of the seattle bicycle benefits. although maybe this counts as a "festival"

I think I've seen about two minutes of Dirty Dancing in my life and have no idea what idea what it's about outside of what Miles just told me. Your reviews of:

Seconded. Elysian it is.

I wish they were playing Red Dawn instead of Dirty Dancing, but this will rule none the less.

Totally staying for both movies, down to drink circa 5:30 or so. Shit, more like 5:45 as I am almost always late.

Personally I'm "leveling up" pre-function with ethanol at a friend's house for a bit. I'll see all you filthy cyclists at Road House!

North & South!

North and South is about the enduring friendship that develops between two young men that meet as cadets at West Point Military Academy in the 1840s. One of them, Orry Main (SWAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYZZZEEE!), is a southerner who lives on his family's plantation near Charleston, South Carolina where they own slaves. The other, George Hazard is the son of a wealthy foundry owner from the fictional town of Lehigh Station, Pennsylvania. In spite of their individual differences, however, both Orry Main and George Hazard remain close friends throughout the miniseries and even through the Civil War, thus symbolizing the fact that America will remain one nation.

Hells yeah.

It's freaking awesome. The cast is intense, too.

Is that a young Joby wearing a tank top in front?
Fuck, I'm afraid to open a pack of gum lest I see his face in the foil wrapper.

Also, I haven't read the entire thread yet, so I'm goin to tell tehSchkott to pack sand so he can fulfil his one argument/thread quota.
