Kristen and I are getting tired of hearing about all you U-District fools in Schultzy's on Fridays, so we're starting up a Friday lunch on Capitol Hill.

Inaugural meeting tomorrow at the Elysian, 1:30pm. We'll see you there.

The promise of Night Owl Pumpkin Ale on tap and sweet potato fries is the only thing getting me through this work day. I don't think I've ever been so excited for lunch in my life. Srsly.

One of the teachers overheard me being really excited about my 'special' lunch once in elementary school. It was a bagel with cream cheese and alfalfa sprouts. I had no idea why she thought that would be funny for me to be so excited over that lunch and consider it special.

I think a more typical lunch included raw turnip chunks or rice cakes, but at least a little salt shaker was included for the turnips.

Granola parents, yeesh.

Bump.

I'll be there tomorrow with shirt, shoes, and expecting service.

I'm out for tomorrow, I'll be in Missoula. But I'll be dreaming of all of you.

Because you'll be passed out in the middle of the day?

So much for the first inaugural lunch.

I suppose we could still go, but it's extra funny that the "founders" won't make it to the first meeting.

NEVERMIND. I'm a dork.

Don't cry too hard, kids. I'm planning on making up for missing today by having two lunches next Friday.

You give me too much credit. I was thinking more one plateful of Elysian for my right hand, and another plateful for my left.

I'll also be simultaneously drinking from both sides of my mouth.

We already do that:

Beer/Arnold Palmer and I think we've all seen me order food at the bar.

Today. Elysian. 1:30 pm. Because I have a mighty hangover, and I enjoy lunching with you people.

I didn't feel that drunk last night but my hangover and I seem to disagree on that point.

I'm getting a beer, an Arnold Palmer, and two straws, because I'd rather not spill on myself.
