I am Joby Lafky. I will be visiting your town this week, and I hope to participate in your bicycle club ride.
From where does your ride start? How many miles should I expect to travel?
I am looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

You need more miles ridden than posts, n00b. I don't want to hear another peep from you until I see you on a bike.

Westlake Center downtown, you'll see us when you get there.
We meet up at 7pm and leave promptly at 7:30pm.
Miles vary, but we have one dependable Miles which travels with us.
I look forward to meeting you and just out of curiosity: Is Joby a girl's name? Oh, and how old are you? We sometimes go into bars...

Hey Joby, I'll be driving my awesome van up to the ride tonight, want to carpool?
Look for a guy named Aaron. He will show you the ropes.
Looking forward to meeting you,
Cougar

Joby,
I won't meet you tonight (maybe next time?), but I recommend that you bring BOOZE and SAFETY. People like that. Also, it's good to have a headlight/tail light and make sure your bike isn't going to fall apart < 1 mile out from Westlake. People don't like that.
Have a great night! You have no where to be tomorow morning, right?

hi joby, try to wear bright-colored clothes, ideally with reflective striping ... when you ride bikes at night it's good for cars to be able to see you!

Joby I haven't even fucking met you and you are bar none the biggest piece of shit I've ever even heard about since I moved to Seattle. I can't believe your car company is still in business, simply because I find it amazing that no one has burned you alive inside of it yet. In the six minutes you've been with this group I've heard of and witnessed more shit from you then I thought possible.
You are truly the pinnacle of worthless slime, which is clearly noted by your severe lack of friends. Even places where you waste your time prowling about online are full of only people who hate the very fact that you are alive. It seems that you yourself have come to the realization that you are so deep within a hole of solitude that no one will even pay attention to you unless you go well out of your way to piss them off. You just sit around at the bottom of this pit, smearing your own refuse on yourself until you see someone amble by and when they do, you loose your venomous spray on them until they are so angered that they shit down your hole and straight into your rotten mouth.
And with shit covered teeth you smile and think, "Well at least I'm getting attention."

As a point of etiquette we always mention when we are NOT coming on the rides.
For instance, I'm not coming tonight so I can spend some time with my wife.
This way people will know whether or not to expect your attendance and can plan accordingly.
I hope this helps you to fit in.

i dont have any idea why you guys are so mad at me. all i want to do is ride my bike and make some friends.
Since I'm new here I'm going to pick where we go. it's a bar where a friend's band is playing. we won't get to really ride bikes tonight but you'll all have super tons of fun!

Oh and there's a small cover ($7) but that shouldn't be a big deal!

This rant was trite, cliche-ridden, aimless, and ineffective when seven wrote it, and it hasn't improved with age.
