Anyone else (UW employees, students, etc.) want to participate? I'll captain, or, if you want a tight-fitting T-shirt, you can do it.

Actual riding dates are the month of November.

I'm only at about 5.5 miles each way, but what the hell, I'm riding anyway, I'm in?

Nick, I'm only 3 miles. We're not in it to win it (and so far, our record in that regard is perfect).

If the last 2 years is any indication, 5.5 miles each way will put you in the top 2 or 3 mileage-wise. Most of us are 3-4.

And I'm in it to not win it, but to score free food and schwag.

I ride about 5 miles to campus after work and about 2 miles home after class twice a week, so I won't contribute a huge amount of miles but I will be out in the rain!

count me in

Greg, if you have room, add me. I can probably find other teams if you're full.

Leah, I can't invite you without a UW email address.

Adam, I can't invite you at all if Leah signs up; she makes 10.

chose adam. i mean, i have a uw email address, but my last message represents a rare and severe deviation from my general anthropophobia. i am recovering.

also, while this means that i'll escape the treachery of uw bike culture and liberal enthusiasm, you'll know who to turn to when your team is bombarded with water balloons filled with various substances. I'll see you in the cocktagon.

Choose Adam, choose a job, choose a career, choose a family, choose a fucking big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments, choose a starter home, choose your friends. Choose leisure-wear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite and higher purchase and a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you've spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future, choose life. But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life, I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons! Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

Crap. How did I come to be represented by this.

I suppose I'll eat the free soup.

They'll probably send you e-mail bugging you about it soon enough, but, anyway, start keeping track of the days you ride, because there will be a quiz later.
