5 flats on the same tire? that totally sucks.
width? wire bead or folding?
i've definitely had some issues with my 35mm wire paselas and pinch flats, every time i pump up the rear tire on the lht i've got to deflate/reinflate about three times to get the bead seated properly. unfortunately i've yet to find a tire i like as much when it's working but yet costs so little.

I just figured you'd be annoyed at us driving it. Plus I didn't find out the real plans until 10am Saturday.

vittoria hyper? a little quick internet pricing says the pasela and the hyper are both in the $30-$35 range.

pasela non-TourGuards are $17 at nashbar, and i've definitely seen them even cheaper. ben's problems aside, they are a very nice fast-rolling fat tire for that price.

wish they made a lighter weight version of the Big Apples for my Karate Monkey. Boy those things are heavy.

after all that chattering, my rear pasela looks like a street in georgetown (ripped up and full of glass) and front has an ugly sidewall tear.
i'm gonna try the schwalbe supreme in the "big fatty" 42mm width. expensive tires for me, and heavy too, but supposedly have excellent traction and are fast-rolling. we'll see.

Our car tire didn't survive the shredding that it got near Lost Lake. We went with Bridgestone G009's.
