Well, I'm out. How about Shorty's?

The space needle is awesome. So are tots. Dang! You got shocks, pegs... lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Shaddap Nick. I got you. Cover me later when/if you get paid.

Alex, I don't know but the 40 I printed are in color.

I was joking! Anyway, I'm currently ahead of my monthly "booze" budget according to mint.com, so I'm out to fix the accounting discrepancy tonight.

Prof, will answer, also not that last time the intended destination was not reached as you found out. There are two sides to roll off beacon hill and we rolled down the opposite side.

It was a post Karkeek park ride. Monie's inaugural ride? Details are hazy.

It was the 5 year ride. Not my inaugural ride. I had been riding for about two months then, total veteran. It was the ride that I ran into a post, got a bruise the size of my inner thigh, and got a permanent cavern in my thigh muscle.

That was a fun ride.

(ok not cavern more like dent/depression)

In fact that incident opened the flood gates for poor monica. Monica now has more (or gone through) bikes than anyone I know who doesn't work on them. Y'all point your fingers at me for having gone through a bunch of bikes - I have nothing on this woman.

Why is tiny Monica so hard on bikes? I'm ~200 lbs and the only reason I go through bikes is because they get stolen. Also: any route ideas for tonight?

I presently own 10 bikes. Owned 11 until earlier this week. Anyone want to take the next swing?

Monie's up to 9 - in just over a year. How long did it take you to reach your number Miles?

Okay okay! I stand corrected. You work on your bikes.

I remember when I saw Jeff on a ride and thought, "he looks like that guy from that band I saw at the Reverb fest that sounds a lot like the minutemen."
A couple months later I met his bandmates at his house, told them how much I liked their band. They responded by dubbing me something emasculating that I fail to recall at the present after I told them a self-effacing story.
God, musicians are sooooooo cool it makes my toes curl.

i love you all like a giant extended drunk retarded family, but PLEASE, be fucking careful. it's wet and slick and terrible out for a few months to go here.

alli just got sent to the emergency room in an ambulance, she took a bad fall on the university bridge metal grating. scott's with her (we were both right behind her when it happened). updates probably by him in the morning. send good thoughts her way.

seriously, watch your asses out there, it's nasty and rough out being a cyclist when it's wet. i hate sending you people home in ambulances.

I had a pretty squirrelly time crossing the bridge, myself, too.

i passed you guys, barely noticed it all, since it was well past the event and yall were fairly quiet and i was zoning out ... then about 1/4 mile later down eastlake i was like "wait WTF that's too weird, what's goin on back there ... there were a few blinky bike lights in one place ... must investigate.... " and turned around.... and got there just as the SFD did.
best wishes, Ally... bummer!! :P

Wait, was she in the bike lane, or in the road lane? If it's the bike lane, I'm not riding on the University Bridge anymore.

Kristen has some nice rash from just slipping sideways in the middle of the road where the pavement portion of the bridge starts as you approach from the university district. ... Right before we ran into you guys and Ms. Ally being attended to by the men with giant flashing lights.

So, yes be careful! I've even switched over to 25's with some sort of treading from my beloved 700x20 slicks.

On different note: TTFTW... so many tater-tots. To you kids that hadn't been, that is the Tin Hat. Nachos, tots, beer, and there's something in the atmosphere there that begs to cause a scene.

This was my confusion as well. I recall the ped/bike lanes being steel grate filled in with concrete but the steel could be the higher surface now.

No, road lane.

Bike lane isn't perfect, but better for those on their ways home from the Blue Moon.

Yeah... I don't touch those road grates when it's been raining.

The thing that scares me is riding fast in the group when it's wet. I don't trust any of you fuckers one bit not to eat it in front of me.

I need to make it two more weeks without injuries and my mother will take me to Canlis (seriously). Being the youngest is awesome.

Jesus, I hope Ally is doing ok. Anybody keeping track of her at this point?

wipeouts aside (thankfully i only had my characteristic tip-over on the way home) that was really fun. i think i kept a balance between bad and good decisions; glad you guys came to my neighborhood so i could abandon my laundry and meet up. as for the Tin Hat, the staff there just seems uptight.

highlight was watching derrick blow so much cash on the punching game at Knarr. somehow whipping out his package seemed more acceptable because he was wearing that red tutu. hope liz wasn't too traumatized.

Speaking of: one of you kids came to a sudden stop on the Fremont bridge, causing a little chain reaction resulting in my jumping over my bars and holding on to my bike by the rear wheel spokes while hoping that I don't end up over the railing. Win.
