With this economy, the city can't afford good attorneys. Now, is the time to strike.
Jon said he would put up signs concerning the humidity/slickness issue.

Hi gang
Ally's going to be alright, but yeah, she ate it face first doing about 20mph on the metal grating of the bridge. Plastic surgeons were patching her back up when I finally left about 7am - her mom took me home when they put her under. Busted nose. Busted hand. Chipped teeth. Beat up face. But all will heal.
I just got a text from her that they just released her and her mom is taking her home to recoup, so there you have it.
Thanks all for picking up - Derrick for taking the bikes back and whatnot.

In all seriousness, holler if you need anything. This group has more bakers, soup makers, and access to all sorts of pain alleviating medication one could imagine.

Thanks for the update, Scott. Oy... that’s so totally a bummer. :( get well soon, Ally!!!
it sometimes amazes me that things like this don’t happen more often.

fuck, was that me?? I remember sorta doing that, kind of at the start of the bridge, before it got narrow ... and Miles (I think it was?) yelling at me for it (and rightly so)... but didn’t remember anyone wiping out as a result. Jesus. Apologies to one or both of youz, as appropriate.

I just met all you guys but I had a fucking blast last night.
Really sorry to hear about Ally. Hope everything turns out all right!
No it was not you - you took a very unexpected swerve and nearly smacked my front wheel as we entered the bridge - the drama roge described had already taken place right in the middle. I saw only the aftermath of that as I rode past.

To quote... someone? "BRAKE CHECK! OH SHIT SHIT BRAKE CHECK! ... ok they work."
Hi Daryl! You picked a good ride as introduction. Keep coming out - soon you won't notice how fast you're riding.

I haven't been out Pointy3ing in way too long, but damn, this hits me. Those gratings are scary: I very nearly went down on one downtown a couple of months ago on a damp morning. Since then I pretty much don't ride on them. They weren't so bad with my old 28 Vittoria Randonneurs, but the racer-ish 25s I'm using now seem to turn even the slightest acceleration into anal-clench-fishtailing.
Gratings bad. Thermal paint bad. Bare metal bad. Wet leaves bad. Oil slicks bad. Yay fall! Time to mount up the 32s if you can.
Heal up Ally.

I need to make it two more weeks without injuries and my mother will take me to Canlis (seriously). Being the youngest is awesome.
I seem to remember you launching yourself off your fixie horizontally into Evan on perfectly dry streets one day last summer.
