wait, what's this 1% thing, that sounds familiar... is it that any candidate who gets 1% of the vote automatically gets put on the next ballot for that position???
at any rate... got my vote. Derrick Clark for Sheriff!

Pretty much a winner for every occasion.

This would make for an amazing piece of direct mail. If only I'd known about this a little earlier in the cycle, I could have drafted a campaign plan. As it stands, this will make for a great bit of after-action targeting reports. I'll put together a nice little graphic that shows precincts with the most .83 presence, in case of a need for canvassing in future elections. Depending on my professional life next year, I'm down to actually run somebody for something stupid like comptroller.
Holy hell, what if there were like 40 .83 precinct committee officers?

Its on. Cascade lobbies the Government, we ARE the Government. Or, at least we will be.

Well shit:
"Mr. Gibson:
Write-in votes will not be tallied unless the number of write-in votes
plus the sum of the number of under votes and over votes could make a
difference in the results for a specific race.
Thank you,
Kortney Kinzer
Election Operations"
Which means I won't get to have a precinct-by-precinct breakdown. Balls.

Bullshit, don't they have machines with the same new fangled "OCR" technology that my fucking Diebold (diebold!) ATM has to do this automatically? Vote by mail seems to allow the county to lurk in the dark ages.
