YUM! Drooling starts now. Excellent prize collection!!! Fingers crossed that I can make it out tonight.
btw: Artcore rocks. Christopher (and Joby) are friends/spouses of friends and do some great work and are interesting cats. Chris is always on his bike ... touring, boozing, and did that 600km race this summer and only slept in 2 ditches for like 20 minutes each during the whole thing. Woot Randonneurs!
btw2 (as already stated once on these forums by SurlyKat): cancer sucks.

It probably is, so we'll see. Santarchy is coming up, and has always been good to me.

I suppose the december date does give burner girls enough time to get a shower in and de-sand the crucial bits.
Also: some of you may know Tim Banning, AKA Skookum (?) … Super awesome guy, on many levels, including that he’s put hundreds of hours of volunteer labor into Colonnade and other trail systems.
Anyway so: he was just diagnosed about a week ago with testicular cancer. He had surgery on Friday, and so far it’s looking good for him but he’s still not totally out of the woods with it. Yeah so anyway, please keep him too in your thoughts, prayers, whateveryouwannacallems...

- Is the function tonight also selling ticket's for the raffle at Aaron's?
- Are raffle tickets for prizes other than the Redline also $5?

Raffle tickets will be sold by me, $5.00 a throw. They are for the all the prizes. Tonight will be everything but the 925, must be present at the party to win any of the party favors. If a ticket gets pulled & the winner ain't there to claim it it goes back in the bucket for the drawing for the Redline which goes down on 12/20 at the shop.

you should do a drawing every hour or so. Love you guys, and Val, but don't want to hang out for three hours for a drawing I probably won't win.

We'll raffle stuff as the night goes on, probably start sometime post 9-ish or whenever the bulk of people that are coming seem to have arrived.

Alex is a true gentleman and a very good sport. He won 4, 5? prizes but tossed half of them back in to be won again.
Except when he won that Brooks Saddle twice, he kept it the second time, can't say I blame him.

I honestly didn't expect to win anything, or at least not that much.
I kept the Big Dummy (which is probably going to be sold) and the dinner gift certificate. Re-raffled fenders, pink Brooks Swift (twice), tattoo gift certificate, and Ixon headlight.
When I was really getting into bikes I spent a lot of time at Val's shop and learned a lot from him. He was always very generous with his time, knowledge and tools.
