How about a collection to bid on the Taco Truck from Rancho Bravo?

Not that the midnight races aren't awesomely hosted and fooded already, but wouldn't a taco truck for the night be just so grand? Or instead of chili we could have it come out for the FHR! 70 people they say they will feed!

We owe ourselves a nice anniversary present. We'll put out.

Great idea, and I'd be willing to throw in some money.

But don't get your hopes up too high for the FHR. It's worth asking, if only for the possibility of pissing off the CBC types whose panties are all twisted about the FHR. But health regs for mobile food trucks are set by the county, and Bainbridge is in Kitsap County. My guess is they want a private residence in King County, where they know how to jump through the hoops and get the proper permits. I'm sure we can find someone with a house/residence near the Green Lake race if they say they can't do the parking lot by the finish line.

Recent food truck tragedy courtesy of the City of Bainbridge Island:

If the taco truck were available for FHR, it would be for a special event and not the main draw, but the permitting process and fees sound onerous and I'm guessing the City has other requirements that would make this difficult for our friends at Rancho Bravo.
