People have mentioned doing Vashon and we do what people want. Plus it is supposed to be clear!

Plus newly researched firepit location on island.

BRING YOUR HEADLIGHTS! Andre said the island is pretty dark after sunset. Better to be safe if we are still there.

Fremont Coffee 11am meet up. 11:30 departure.

I'm gonna try this rumored vashon ride for a second time. If not, maybe Jessica will buy me breakfast again.

I'm down. Excited to pull out the geared bike for the first time in a while. Last time I went to Vashon I wasn't feeling too well. Perhaps things will be different this time.

if I make it up and alive in time to redezvous, I'm in. Never ridden over there before.

*update*

Its cold. I'm cold. I'm going to stay home and watch football, later maybe go for a ride once it warms up a little. Have fun, take pictures!

Did you guys remember to CC: Ben? It's important that the club president be kept in the loop about attendance.

Holy ass it is cold today. Alex and I dropped off the back due to frozen joints and extremities. Don't lose any parts, guys!

The island was very pretty. We didn't cover as much as we meant to as it was FUCKING COLD!. It was still fun and we had laughs. I never thought I would say this but thank god for uphills.

That about sums up the entire ride. I'll get those pictures up somewhere tomorrow.

Serious. I couldn't take it, after not having felt my feet for an hour and a half. Really. Besides which, the hands were throbbing masses of pain. Took a good 90 minutes of the Beveridge, a hot apple cider, a tea, and a glass of sweet sweet mead to bring me back to life.

Good thing Pete got a flat he couldn't fix, so we didn't have to ride all the way back to Capitol Hill. Pretty sure I wouldn't have made it.

P.S. Thanks, Henry.

i was having that problem, too. after the small cold spell in mid-november, i invested in some pearl izumi toe condoms, which are, i am sad to say, actually called "calien toes" (http://www.pearlizumi.com/product.php?mode=view&product_id=523). i slipped them on at the vashon bar, and i didn't have much of a problem for the rest of the ride.

Most of my favorite bike rides have ended by being picked up and driven home.

I'm sorry, who is this? I don't recall seeing you this weekend? Except perhaps in a well-heated room, stripped to skivvies, surrounded by similarly clad gents.

My life is so hard.

I find it works best to skip the bike in the first place. I missed you when I drove to the ride on Thursday.
