How about a right lane aligned streetcar track crossing from Boren Ave S. onto 12th Ave S. at a slight angle at the bottom of a hill. That is what our friends at SDOT have as the primary recommendation right now.
Tuesday 12/15, 6-8pm, Seattle Central Community College
Wednesday 12/16, 6-8pm, Yesler Community Center
Thursday 12/17, 6-8pm, Union Station
I know it is the week before Christmas, but I haven't heard much from Cascade on this yet and it scares the shit of of me and this thing isn't just fast tracked with SDOT and Vulcan like the SLUT was, it is SDOT and Sound Transit with ST footing the bill.

Even with bike paths beside the trolley, bikes are still going to be forced to cross the tracks when the trolley's track turns?

I don't have any problem with it serving black people - my problem is that if it takes that route, it's also going to serve a lot of vietnamese.

On that note: I'm tired of all the poor blacks and whites in my neighborhood. They make me uncomfortable with all their sleeping in public and asking me for money/food.
They need to go up the street and wait for work trucks like those honest, hard-working mexicans. Take the bus, you're in the free-zone, and go tile a floor if you're so hungry.

your sarcasm lapped itself there at the end, coming right back around to truth.

that's how tracks work. crossing a track at a ~90 degree angle isn't really a problem.

Yes.
From the presentation at the last SBAB meeting, Boren is too narrow to have a bike lane plus streetcar, and yes, eventually bikes are forced to cross the tracks when the tracks turn or when the tracks enter the road that cyclists are using. It's rather hard to cross tracks at a 90 degree angle when the tracks are entering the road you are on at a 20 degree angle and you are doing 30mph because it is the bottom of a hill.
Of course, the pugsley would be fine. It is the rest of us with narrow tires who should worry.
Some of the alternate route proposals might not be too bad, but it needs cyclist input.

or just a bike boulevard or something on an alternate street instead of on the main drag with all the seniors and crap driving on it.
