Things that we learned from last week is early fire at the Fremont firepit results in cops and fire dept.

Yeah, I mean, if we had a raging fire going by the time they got there, I'd say odds are good they would have thrown their arms up and joined in. Or if not, at least those angry firemen would have had something to do.

Maybe yelling "FREEMONT FIRE PIT" in the bar a 1/4 mile away 15 minutes before going to the FFP is not a good idea. The cop rolled up on a few moments after the fire was lit.

A few weeks ago there was some ride which I missed which went to this firepit near Leschi or somewhere near I90 ... I think joeball had discovered it or something. I'd kinda like to check that out, one of these weeks.

That was a great ride. Thanks to Derrick for showing us the flatter and tandem friendly way to downtown. It was funny to get to Uwajamaya and discover that Andre and Theresa and Trevor's son had been tailing us on Rainier.

I think it is time to build up a generator front wheel for the tandem.

That hipster bike he was on? He built it himself yesterday from parts he got for his 16th birthday. I think I've done a good job teaching him till I consider who he's riding with now. Fitting.

Agreed. Really fun route south- and eastward, especially being toward the back of the group when we started coasting down that windy bike path--all those bikes and taillights looked awesome curving away into the distance.

My shoes are covered in mud and there is a mysterious hole toward the top of my right shoelace; must have been a rogue spark.

Yeah, and which Nick was this? There was a guy who joined us for our ride home but we had to leave behind around Genesse when his BB got fused and fucked in half - I hadn't met him or caught his name, but you say 'walking a broken bike' so I'm wondering if it was him?

Shit dude, my last words to him as we rode off were 'stay safe!' I should probably not jinx people. Updates on his condition if anyone gets them, please.

He wasn't knocked unconscious, but he went to the hospital on a backboard wrapped in space blankets.
