The University bookstore just got one of them new-fangled machines that will print public domain books for you for $8. I'd take the Tuesday ride there, but .2 mile rides are a little light even for Tuesdays.

More info.

That's what I have a printer at work for.

I know neither your printer nor the FE machine, but I'm guessing/hoping the entertainment value of watching the latter will far outweigh that of watching the former.

It's not like I need more books to read.

This must be some new definition of the word "Entertainment" I was not previously familiar with.

It's not funny if you have to explain it.

Yes Greg. Tell us about these... "BOOKS" you speak of. Is this some sort of web 2.0 thing? Can I make a profile? Can my friends join?

Well, I guess you're old enough, Scott.

You see, if a non-fiction book and a fiction book love each other very much, then they get together. The non-fiction book rubs its index on the fiction book's frontispiece, and, sometimes, a board book is born. These books can grow up to be bestsellers or even Oprah Winfrey book club selections.

Anyway, back in the 1960's, a very strange non-fiction book called The Art of Computer Programming did this with a fiction book called The Crying of Lot 49, inside a Fresh Espresso machine that was set to run backwards, and, 5 years later, the Internet was born.

It's not that hard to join! All you have to do is have a uid with this internet club called "Google" and you too can enjoy "books" of all sorts. You can find "Google" via your favorite search engine such as Lycos or Altavista.

I put a handy interlink below for "books" to save you a little bit of trouble:
