so as you heard, i tore my ACL two weeks ago. every day it's gotten
better, and today i went to physical therapy for the first time. since
my bike is my only set a wheels, it is crucial i get comfortable on
the bike sooner than later. it'll probably be a week (and hopefully no
more) before i feel ready to jump the saddle, but my phys. therapist
recommends finding a bike trainer before i hit the road. he made it
sound like all of his friends have them in their garages but i
honestly couldn't think of anyone i know with a GARAGE alone. soooo, i
was wondering if you do, since you know a lot of bikers. i'm not sure
if it's the same thing that people who fix bikes would have, but
basically i need a stand that i can put the bike up on and still ride
it in place - like a stationary bike. the PT called it a bike trainer.
will you let me know if you even know what i'm talking about? and if
you do, would you mind asking around your circle? i could pick it up
(volunteering rachel) & would only need it a couple weeks probably, if
even more than one.
anybody have one of these they're willing to lend? let me know.

I think i gave mine back to the people i borrowed it from, but i'll check. I can definitely say that getting on a trainer is a fantastic idea. I mean, other than the fact that you're riding a trainer. But yeah, get that knee strong before she hits the road or she'll tear that fucker again the first time she gets off her bike wrong.

Are there any blogs a person could read about this stuff?

I've got one she can borrow. It is a little janky but the price is right.
