FYI, there's some Amtrak fucktardary going on because of the olympics and valentine's weekend blackout dates.
I suppose the 2 hour delay is probably pretty useful if you're trying to go up and back in one day.

He doesn't have to be worried. I'm pretty sure Margaret could kick your ass.

Shitty weather?
Since when has that stopped anybody from biking a hundred miles?
Man, that was back before we actually knew how to bike tour.
Rob, Scott, Suzanne; I know you're coming, right?
Gretchy, anything you want me to bring darling Margs?

I think I'm in, provided I can wake up in decent time.
I'm visiting a friend in Vancouver so I'll head up there the next day. Way better than trying to deal with Amtrak or the Headless express
Oi! I'm totally on the fence about this one. I was looking pretty forward to doing the Alleycat, however the chance of getting a good ass whooping and spending time with my favorite tour kids does sound tempting. Margie- Can we crash at yer house?

hey kids,
the more the merrier. i've got space for 4 people in the attic (there's 2 beds up there so ya'll gotta share). 1 person on living room couch and one in my roommate's room cuz she'll be out of town and offered up her bed. otherwise there is probably some floor space.
someone text me when you get near bham so i'll know to be home.

I just received a couple pounds of the most amazing fudge any of you will ever eat. It will be coming on the ride. So, FYI, we've got the homemade-sweets angle covered.

Brandon, Kenshi, Ginger, and me
Great crew, everybody was in good spirits the whole way and the weather cooperated well enough not to dump on us too hard. Margaret had plenty of beds for us all in her new, really lovely house. Kenshi took off for BC Sunday and Ginger, Brandon, Margaret and I had a great sunny day in Bellingham. Ginger took the train back Sunday night for work today. Brandon took the train back this morning so he could supervise a creative workshop by noon today.
I biked back to Seattle alone, and about 5 or 10 miles away from Margaret's house this happened.
I could have turned back to Bellingham and made the train with Brandon, but I knew it was too perfect a day to waste. So, I rode the rest of the way holding my pedal in place with the cleats on my shoe.
I saw Jordan and Darryl heading east on the BG for the monday ruckus as I was leaving Woodinville.
Brandon, I can't wait to see your pics.

Ah, you were on your way back from bellingham, we stopped to see if you had as well, but you just kept on your way.
Awesome ride today. I got about 47 miles in.

My favorite photos and a fancy visualization of the trip is on my blog. All the rest of the photos are on flickr.
Open the GPS visualization/map up really big and check out the middle, to see where and for how long we had to stop because Ginger can't keep glass out of her danged tire.

I can't think of anything preventing me riding starting early early Friday morning to up there, maybe even to the Lummi res/Lake Whatcom, and riding back Saturday via Fidalgo/Deception Pass/Whidbey. Everyone round here should do this eventually, like when I'm going cuz I'm hella cool!

hi, i'm also pirating the RSVP. well, friday anyway, even though lee assures me that the badhill route is better. on day 2 (saturday) i'm rolling directly to vancouver via the peace arch border crossing, none of this aldergrove/lynden nonsense. i've got a friend that lives at denman & haro (a couple blocks from the end party), PM for details!

RSVP is starting on friday? complete coincidence. If Cascade didn't change their route, I won't be riding with them since I know the Centennial Trail, west Skagit county, Chuckanut, and Bellingham be gorgeous.

i'll be at the corner of sand point way & 65th around 6:45-7am on friday morning. wanna pirate to bham? be there.

sorry i couldn't host anyone this weekend. i was in deming enjoying the stringband jamboree.
the deming log show (which occurs each year in june) is a spectacle. entertaining for about an hour, then it's best to head to the little roadside tavern at nugent's corner.
