Dead Baby Terry has graciously offered up his big ass space in Ballard for us to hold a wrench party. This Sunday is the last weekend before the FHR. If you went to Dead Baby two years ago, that's his place - just behind the Bit Saloon.
So at 3pm this Sunday, bring us your tired, your poor, your weak and your wounded bicycles, and let's get them in shape for the ride. Nothing sucks quite like getting off the ferry and having a catastrophic mechanical straight off the boat. Or maybe even worse, 11-12 miles in. Do yourself, and everyone else a favor and BE PREPARED. You know who catches a ration of shit if you pirate the Cascade ride and then have to use Cascade resources to pull your broke-dick self back to the docks? That's right. We all do.

So I Terry O, doing business as Bicycle Jesus am inviting whomever over to my place in Ballard on a Sunday of your choosing, leaving the details to yalz' if this is something somebody want to organize. I have an unorganized lego box of basic tools, one stand, so would need a tech on hand that can bring your common bike tools, pullers, tuners, bong-whut have ya
See you Sunday.

I've got a portable stand and tools which can be borrowed. I have to work on Sunday so I'll show up late but someone, perhaps a cripple with the inability to ride bikes but possessing a working early eighties BMW 528e, could grab my tools and take them to Terry's so they're there at 3pm.

Will there be a truing stand there by any chance? I have a couple wheels that I would like to make an attempt at truing them.

I'm pretty sure Ro has one that he'd let me pick up when I pick up stuff.

If you are in the delivery business, I can loan out a stand and crappy truing stand for the cause. Can drop by yer place this week.

sounds like you got the tools covered (insert joeball pun)
but extra stands are handy.
so if you need it, and since you all will be in ballard, i can bring by a stand and hanger alignment tool if needed.
holla back

Yup. If you have a work stand, bring it. I assumed I could steal Ro's truing stand but didn't actually ask him. If you're a solid on that one, hollar.

You're welcome to the truing stand.
BTW: I'm borrowing your car next week to teach myself standard in some parking lots on Capitol Hill.

That's fine. It catches fire when you put it in reverse though. Caveat emptor.

Adam dropped by his truing stand and bike stand. Talked to Terry today on the phone and he's ready for us. See you tomorrow at 3pm.

Thanks Terry for the space, and Miles for the assistance. Man that space is badass.
Lotta wheels trued, brakes fixed, headsets serviced, cranks pulled, bikes wiped down and indexing cleaned up. Lotta PBR and Ranier consumed. Nygaard helped me with my headtube (no homo). Wreyford Senior didn't even hurt himself er nuthin!
Adam, your truing stand and bike stand are at my house - was very helpful. Between yours and Ethans, lotta work got done.
Here are some pics
