This week we will be heading to over to Bellevue by way of Mercer Island (possible Roanoke Inn stop) to some Dive Bars. We can also keep goiing up to kirkland. People have mentioned that they want hills to train for FHR and/or distance since it is going to be nice out. We think this can accomplish both of those goals.

Some yelp reviews from the fine establishments:

"Creepy, old men? Check.
Chills and/or nausea when you think of using the restroom? Check.
Bartenders who know their customers? Check.
Delicious burgers? Check."

"There's a balcony there, for god's sake! A balcony in a dive bar!!!!! "

"it's still one of the most 'un-bellevue bars' in bellevue"

"This place is straight out of washintucky--in bellevue!!"

Hey remember when I rode by you guys and you were all like, "oh hi Jeff!" And I was like "Oh hi guys!" then rode away?

That was pretty cool.

That's with my trip back to fremont, instead of the CIP.

Awesome ride, fantastic day, fuck closed down bars.

Laying in the grass, basking in the sunshine IN FEBRUARY was great. Hills and miles were great. Trying to find a bar, any bar, in Bellevue/Kirkland was great. (It's in Fancyville?) Woowee Bike Sabbath. Well done!

That wouldn't have happened if it was the Tweed Ride.

Hmph.

i like looking at daryl's map. it makes me feel accomplished and sorta bad-ass. loved the miles, loved the views, loved the sunshine, and loved the company.

sorry to have missed the tweed ride, sylvie. it's just that i don't do well in crowds above 40, and i wanted to get a lot of miles in. i was glad to hear that your tweed ride was a rousing success.

It's one thing to ride, and read a computer readout of how far i went, but I love to look at the maps to get a sense of how far 40 miles actually is on a bike.
