Bib Shorts
Bib shorts are a great alternative to the traditional fitted bicycle short because they do not have an elastic waistband to restrict breathing. Many pro cyclists prefer to wear bib shorts. With a jersey worn over the top, you can't tell the difference between a bib short and the traditional fitted cycling short. Bib shorts are also a great choice for entry level cyclists with a larger belly because the elastic waistband is replaced by lightweight straps that provide unrestricted comfort.

You're still thinking about this like a bib-racist.
Bib shorts aren't what's different — what you refer to as a traditional fitted cycling short is — the technical term is 'half short', and it's anything but traditional.
You're not half a man, you don't have half a dick and a sole teste, so not losing the top half of your shorts makes a big difference.
It's like with computer drives. You whippersnappers with your newfangled tray CD-ROM drives, that's not a full drive bay, it's half the height of a standard one!
I grew up with full-height 5 and 10 MB hard-drives, floppy drives, and caddy-based CD drives. I still have bib shorts.

problem is with bib fronts that go up to your neck, no way to take a leak with those things.

You have no idea what it is like to be a woman until you have to take off half your clothing to take a piss.

As an adult baby, I don't see a problem here.

As a card carrying member of the PDC I am ideologically opposed to bibshorts.
No pants!
