Like Christine, I, too, am going to Europe. But I'm going to Italy, it will only be for a couple of weeks, and will undoubtedly see fewer bare feet.
In honor of this occasion, Tuesday's ride will be all-Italian. Italian Pizza! Italian wine! Italian beer! Italian Espresso! Italian snacks! Italian salami! Italian goodies! Actual Italians!
[Plus Italian pranks! I've been re-watching Breaking Away and have some primo ideas.]
Pre-funk at the Pagliacci on the Ave (4529 University Way NE) at 6pm. They have pizza, beer and wine (see, I've covered a few of those already).
So put on your blues and whites, saddle up your Italian bikes (with Campy parts) and let's ride!

What part are of Italy are you going to? Will you be visiting the Italian shore line?

The Italian Riviera is not on a river, while Shoreline is not on the shore. Discuss.

DID YOU KNOW: there's an election on tuesday?
King Conservation District is too cheap to put their offices on the regular ballot. So they stage their own election which they, um, don't tell anyone about. Tuesday you can go to the downtown library and vote. Pre-prefunk.

I love how the polls close in Seattle at 7:30, and everywhere else at 8pm. They really don't want people to vote, do they?
Obligatory Italy: If this were Italy, we'd get another election in 2 months!

Are Canadian bikes that sound like Italian bikes ok? This bike will be outfitted with quality Campagnolo parts.

Seeings as the closest thing I have to an Italian bike is my blue and white Raleigh, I guess I'll give you a pass.

I just have a yellow and blue french bike. Maybe in the right kind of lighting we can get the yellow to look white.

If everything goes the way I want it to, I will have a blue and white RB-1 by tomorrow. I think that I have other plans tomorrow, however.
Edit: Yep. I have other plans tomorrow: the ones I canceled tonight so that I can go attempt to buy a blue and white RB-1. Have fun on the ride (Ben), and in Italy (Greg).

I didn't mean that it was actually french, Just french looking. I read a whole bunch about it when I had problems with my freewheel and I need a new pal spring.
That was an interesting spiral of companies that owned companies that have since split off and been bought again. Stupid Rolfs...

He'd have a different accent?
I think I might make this ride tonight, I've been wanting to try out a Tuesday ride and it's amazingly nice outside.

Keep complaining, Dylan. It's working so far.
P.S. The wind is blowing some wicked waves on the flat roof across the street.

Same here. I'm at a freelance job just a block up the street one day a week, and it lined up this time...
Was going to ride my Italian bike today, but didn't want to ride unfendered tubulars if it was gonna get inclement. Besides, the only campy on it is the seatpost and the crankarm bolts.
