Spring is here and it seems that Val Kleitz is beating that bitch called cancer!
Easter Sunday, April 4th, Noon
Come celebrate life and spring!
FIRST OFF, YOU DO NOT NEED A CARGO BIKE!
Meet up at the Delridge Playfield, right across the street from Youngstown Arts Center
http://www.youngstownarts.org
Meet at Noon, leave at 1 PM, arrive at Seward Park by 2:30PM
You can't miss us. Just look for a fun bunch of folks with crazy bikes!
Look for bikes loaded with food, BBQs, charcoal, beverages, fire wood, an ax, cast iron skillets, a stove, kids, other bikes, etc.
Bring the family for an easy ride to Seward Park for a picnic. We know the easy FLAT route there.
Cargo bikers ain't in a hurry so if you are late call 206-290-8737 (the Official Cargo Bike Phone Number) to find us enroute.

In the spirit of Jesus: "But when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone ...".

Remember when Aaron Goss broke in to Bikestation, stole somebody's brand new bike, rode it for a few miles, and then abandoned it? That was cool.

Look Aaron, I think point 83 is doing good. And I think that's partly because your not riding with them anymore. You were doing a great job at not posting on this forum. And why couldn't you have asked someone else to post this event?

Remember when we tried to do a group buy on lights, and Aaron Goss called the distributer and had our friend's account terminated because he was mad we weren't buying from him? That was cool.

I give this thread two enthusiastic thumbs up.
This thread actually beats out my previous all time favorite thread, in which Henry complained of needing to poop and sought advice on how to fix his broken toilet.
Glorious on all counts. Everyone should give themselves a round of applause for bringing this genius to the tubes.

Remember when Aaron Goss didn't like what David Hiller was saying at a meeting, so he pushed him up against a wall and choked him? That was cool.

Interesting. I no longer have any qualms at all about buying from starbike instead of Peter White or someone using him for a distributor.

for that's how our oysters make pearls.
and Goss is gonna be some huge forkin' pearl when he comes out down the road, and I love all the layers so of the thread. forkin' embroidery. (strip me Nacre!) always making it more shiny beautiful, because I thinks that where you wish to push.

Joby,
I love you like Henry loves Massachusetts for letting the gays marry.
You have shown me nothing but kindness and respect and if forced to choose between you, evil derrick and Aaron I'm a choose you.
Two points:
Remember when Aaron opened up his shop after hours and let us use all his amazing tools and drink beer? Yeah, that was pretty cool.

Remember when Aaron Goss invented a time machine with Val, and they went into the future, and gave birth to Pol Pot, who then used the time machine to go back to 1975 and create the Killing Fields?
No you don't, because it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, as unreasonable as joby sounds here, it really is better without him. Let's not play peacemaker.

I didn’t personally witness any of these events, so I really cannot comment on whether or not, IMHO, the Super Seekrit Central Oblast Membership Planning Committee should allow this individual back into the hallowed halls of Point83.
However, what I will say is that this guy owns a bike shop which has a return policy which is kind of, what’s the term ...“ethereal?” ... “vague?” ... “long-winded?” .... For that alone, I think he and the owner of some other local bike shop should, like, duke it out in the octagon or tallbike-joust or something.

i can't quite remember if anyone (including myself) explicitly ever told aaron "you can't ride with us anymore" as a group law. i think he just burned bridges in every possible social direction that shame and ostracization did what a gavel never could.
even if it wasn't for jobies beef, i have some pretty strong feelings about the creepy date rapey effects that happened around aaron with piles of the lady folk (who came to me and others) about it. that fact of drama alone makes me feel more comfortable without him around. this isn't new news to anyone so i don't mind jabbing about it in public here. it wasn't a one time thing either, it happened over and over again.
i really wish it didn't go that way. aaron is a master mechanic that loves bikes and the bike community to death, and i loved going to his wrench parties and learning all kinds of stuff. really miss those, but the side effects got to be too much :(

and Derrick ends the LOL's.
We tried to talk to Aaron about the ways he was being an asshole.
Three separate times he told us he'd cut down on drinking and wouldn't be coercive to girls anymore.
It was always a lie.
Do not trust this man.

I think it's fucking retarded that you won't give a guy a second chance three years later. If we're gonna start getting rid of creepy, rapey fuckers i think we have some other house cleaning to attend to!
More than anything, i think Joby's childish kneejerk responses speak more to his own inability to deal with uncomfortable social situations than anything else.
