Riding fixed gears without brakes is stupid and dangerous. I applaud the man in image 2 for rising above convention and allowing that sweet carboner of a ride to stay safe and be seen throughout the city.

When the CMWC was in tokyo last year we were required to put a break on if we wanted to race. Something about a politician sponsoring the event and there were to be police checking for breaks at the door.
Pista bikes have just gotten a bad rap in tokyo.
