And I'm sure y'all know way more about bikes then me. I was riding home on the Burke a few weeks ago and some people yelled "Beer! Fire!" at me so I pulled over and met some people with small hats. Let the flagellation begin!

Much like other internet forums, there's a search function but I'm glad you know how the rest of the system works.

Pictures or you don't exist and mind the post/miles ratio, potato chip man.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I remember this guy. I think it was the night of the man ride with sloop & waterwheel. Rob said something awesome about the science and lore of the kitchen, and now it's sitting here fresh from the SPL. Rides are weird sometimes.

I remember some relatively uncontrolled pallet burning. I actually took some video I could post of that night.

I may have been drunk, moody, and possibly in a lighter fluid stealing way that night; that evening's a little fuzzy in the noggin.

I think I met you that night, Tim. I think my advice was something along the lines of "We have a forum. Post once to say 'hi', then come on a ride".

And then you were like "Yeah, forums can be brutal. I totally understand."

And then Kevin and Ryan stole a pedicab.

Anyway, good job, Tim. See you on Thursday.

That's right. I remember trying to explain to Kevin that a Heineken keg in a fire and a can of pabst in a fire present very different levels of "boom."

I think one should come on a ride before he can be called New Guy.

Thank you. I probably can't make this Thursday because I have a kickball game although I could rally after. Does anyone use a GPS tracker thing?

We're mostly a bunch of nerds, but not that nerdy. I see GPS's on rides, but not ones which are publishing our location in realtime to the internet.

Sometimes http://www.twitter.com/point83 is kept up to date.
When that doesn't work I just call around and ask where the ride is.

The irony here being that of all of us, Alex IS the one with GPS's. :)

But yes he speaks the truth. Twitternets will often keep you appraised - if not outright confused as to what the heck is going on.
