You must have figured out by now we will be playing CROQUET this sunday!!!!! Beau volunteered to carry the croquet set, I assume on the xtracycle. A croquet support vehicle if you will. We will stop on the way to pick up frosty beverages or snackies to consume while hitting the balls.

Was thinking Hamlin Park in shoreline as we have never been there before but if anyone has other parks sort of far away that would be great for croquet please shout it out.

Hamlin has cool trails to wander around on, but aside from baseball fields, which I do not know about their level of use, I can't really think of any flat, grassy but well groomed places to play croquet. Paramount Park just up the hill on 155th and 9th has a giant grass field, but probably isn't the best place for public drinking. Then again Hamlin probably has some perfect grass area that I just can't remember. Nevermind.

Hamlin has the baseball diamonds, then north of there, some woods, then north of that, a football field. Easiest access to the football fields is off 15th Ave NE (north of Fircrest). Easiest access to the baseball diamonds is off 25th Ave NE, between the high school and the jr. high.

The football field in Hamlin is pretty secluded. You could also try the west side of Paramount Ponds. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3801669 NE 148th goes through from 15th. I don't think the grassy area is exactly flat, but you can probably make it work.
